Udimet 710 Nickel-Based Alloy
Udimet710 is a refractory nickel-based superalloy with high Al and Ti content. It has good tensile strength, high temperature durability and fatigue properties, especially high strength, oxidation resistance and microstructure stability above 900ºC. It is used to manufacture high thrust-to-weight ratio, high-efficiency engine turbine discs, as well as integral gas turbine rotors, with a working temperature of up to 980 °C.
Udimet710 application overview: The alloy has been used to manufacture the integral turbine disk of the turboshaft engine, which is used in helicopters and oil field generators.
After long-term aging, the high temperature plasticity, room temperature tensile strength and yield strength decreased significantly. The higher the aging temperature, the greater the decrease, but the change of the high temperature strength is small. After long-term aging at 850 °C and 950 °C, the cold and hot fatigue life of the alloy is significantly reduced due to the precipitation of needle-like phases. Plasticity can be restored to its original level.
