GH5K superalloy GH3007 superalloy
GH5K iron-based superalloy is developed from austenitic stainless steel and contains a certain amount of elements such as chromium and nickel.
It is an important material used under the condition of moderate temperature (600~800ºC).
It has checked mechanical properties at medium temperature and good hot working plasticity.
The alloy composition is relatively simple and the cost is low.
It is mainly used to make turbine disks on aero-engines and industrial gas turbines.
It can also be used to make guide vanes, turbine blades, combustion chambers, and other load-bearing parts and fasteners.
Another use is to make exhaust gas turbochargers on diesel engines.
Because the structure of the precipitation-strengthened iron-based alloy is not stable enough, the oxidation resistance is poor, and the high-temperature strength is insufficient, so the iron-based alloy cannot be used at higher temperatures.
