Product Description

GH4033 is a high-temperature alloy with nickel-chromium as the matrix, adding aluminum and titanium to form a γ' phase dispersion-strengthened alloy. It has sufficient high temperature strength at 700~750ºC, and has good oxidation resistance below 900ºC. The alloy has good cold and hot working properties, and is mainly used for hot-rolled bars and disc blanks, which are used in engine rotor parts.

1.5, GH4033 heat treatment system
The hot-rolled bars for rotating parts are: 1080ºC±10ºC, air cooling +700ºC±10ºC, 16h, air cooling. Common load-bearing rods and cold drawn rods are 1080°C, 8h, air cooling +700°C or 750°C, 16h, air cooling. Ring blank and forged round cake are 1080ºC, 8h, air cooling +750ºC, 16h, air cooling.

1.6. GH4033 (GH33) Specifications and Supply Status
Supply hot rolled round bars of d20~55mm. Cold-drawn bars supply the following varieties: round bars with diameters of d8~45mm, square bars with side lengths of d8~30mm, and hexagonal bars with inner diameters of d8~36mm. We also supply forged round cakes with diameter not greater than 600mm and height of 60~150mm, ring blanks with outer diameter of 200~800mm, inner diameter of 50~600mm and height of 60~250mm, and hot rolled and forged bars with diameter of 20~300mm. Welding wire can supply wire with diameter of 0.2~10mm. Bars for blades are supplied in a rolled state, and their surfaces should be fully ground or polished. Cold-drawn rods are delivered in acid-washed or polished or cold-drawn state after solution treatment. Round cakes are supplied in a forged state with a ground surface. Welding wire can be delivered in a static state, semi-hard state, solution treatment plus pickling, bright solution treatment, and can also be delivered straight.

1.7, GH4033 smelting and casting process
It adopts electric arc furnace, electric arc furnace + electroslag or vacuum arc remelting, non-vacuum induction furnace + electroslag or vacuum arc remelting, vacuum induction furnace + electroslag or vacuum arc remelting process.

1.8, GH4033 (GH33) other general information and special requirements
The alloy is widely used in high-temperature parts of turbine engines, mainly used as turbine working blades, turbine disks and other high-temperature load-bearing parts. It is one of the alloys with mature experience at home and abroad. The alloy should pay attention to the problem of recrystallization during hot rolling and forging. It has a large tendency to form uneven grains and coarse grains, and it is easy to produce coarse grain wastes. In addition, the production process should be strictly controlled to avoid the phenomenon that the tensile plasticity drops at 700°C.

Metallographic structure
The alloy is a single-phase austenite structure in the solid solution state, with trace amounts of TiC and TIN[Ti(C, N).

Process performance
1. The alloy has good hot working performance, the forging heating temperature is 1140ºC, and the final forging is 950ºC.
2. The average grain size of the alloy is closely related to the deformation degree and final forging temperature of the forging.
3. The alloy can be welded by argon arc welding in the solid solution state, and it should be treated in time after welding to eliminate welding stress.
4. Surface treatment process: The machined parts need to be electropolished. If mechanical polishing is used, the final polishing scratch should be consistent with the length of the blade.
5. The heating rate of the part solution treatment heating should not be too fast, and a stepped heating curve can be used.
