Waspaloy is an age-hardening austenitic (face-centred cubic) nickel-based superalloy.
Typical fields of application for Waspaloy alloys are high temperature applications, especially in gas turbines.
Waspaloy is a Ni-Cr-Co-based precipitation hardening deformed superalloy
The operating temperature of Waspaloy is below 815ºC.
Waspaloy alloy was solid solution strengthened by adding cobalt, chromium and molybdenum elements, adding aluminum and titanium elements to form γ' precipitation strengthening phase, adding boron and zirconium elements to purify and strengthen grain boundaries
Waspaloy alloy has high yield strength and fatigue resistance at 760~870ºC
It has good anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion properties in the gas turbine atmosphere below 870 ºC, good processing plasticity, stable structure and properties
It is suitable for making parts such as turbine disks, working blades, high temperature fasteners, flame tubes, shafts and turbine casings.
is an age-hardening nickel-based superalloy with excellent mechanical properties below 980°C (1800°F).
Other features include excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, suitable for service in extreme environments.
The alloy still has fairly good strength values in the temperature range of 760-870°C (1400-1600°F), as well as excellent oxidation resistance,
It can be used in gas turbine engine working environment at temperatures up to 870°C (1600°F).
In the temperature range of 620-650°C (1150-1200°F).
The creep rupture strength of the alloy is significantly better than that of the 718 alloy. Its short-time thermal tensile strength below 730°C (1350°F) is inferior to RA718.

Waspaloy is often used in extreme environments. Common applications include: blades, seals, rings, shafts and turbine disks for gas turbines.
Standard Material 1243 certified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST),
As a standard sample of X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF: X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy), Waspaloy is made of Waspaloy alloy.
