Product Description

GH6783 (GH783) anti-oxidation low-expansion deformation superalloy

GH6783 is a Co-Ni-Fe-based precipitation-hardening ferromagnetic high-temperature alloy with resistance to oxidative expansion and deformation. The operating temperature is less than 750ºC. The alloy is strengthened by adding a large amount of aluminum and niobium elements to precipitate γ'-Ni3(Al,Nb) dispersion strengthening phase and bulk β-NiAl phase during aging. The alloy can reach full oxidation resistance level at 750ºC, and has excellent mechanical properties at room temperature and high temperature, low thermal expansion coefficient and low density. The fine grain size is controlled by the precipitation of β-NiAl phase during thermal denaturation. The microalloyed alloy has good hot workability and cold forming process performance. The main products are bars, cake blanks, rings, cold-rolled sheets and strips.

Alloys have been used to manufacture clearance control components such as seal rings, bearing rings and casings for advanced aero-engines. Because of its high temperature alloy oxidation resistance, excellent mechanical properties and low thermal expansion coefficient, the alloy can also be applied to fasteners such as bolts and bearing shafts in high-temperature service such as ground gas turbines, as well as rocket engines. Trachea etc.

Compared with other low expansion superalloys GH2907 and GH2909, the excellent oxidation resistance and low density of GH6738 alloy are the main characteristics of this alloy. The alloy has excellent properties and microstructure stability below 700°C, but poor thermal stability above 750°C.
