This alloy is the grade with the highest nickel content among the stainless steels. Because the Ni content is more than 30%, it is sometimes included in the iron-nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloy. In addition to nickel, this steel has a high Cr content and contains 3% to 4% Mo and about 1.0% Cu, so it is excellent in general corrosion resistance in many strongly reducing corrosion environments, and in some oxidizing, redox composite, In halogen-containing media, it is resistant to both general corrosion and local corrosion.
