1.5 GH44 Heat Treatment System
The solution treatment temperature of hot-rolled and cold-rolled sheets and strips in the supply state is 1120~1160°C, air-cooled, and the material properties are tested in the supply state.
1.6 GH44 Variety Specifications and Status
We can supply δ4~14mm hot rolled sheet, δ0.5~4mm cold rolled sheet, δ0.1~0.8mm strip, diameter d0.3~10mm, d20~300mm bar and various diameter rings. Plates and strips are supplied after solution, pickling and trimming; wires are supplied in cold drawing, co-prosperity pickling or semi-hard state, and bars and forgings are supplied without heat treatment.
1.7 GH44 Melting and Casting Process
The alloy is smelted by electric arc furnace, non-vacuum induction furnace or vacuum induction furnace + electroslag remelting or vacuum arc remelting process.
1.8 GH44 application overview and special requirements
Alloys are used to make sheet metal stamping and welding structural parts for aero-engine combustion chambers and afterburners, as well as components such as mounting edges, ducts and guide vanes.

3 GH44 Organizational Structure
After solid solution at 1200ºC, it is basically single-phase austenite and a small amount of MC and M23C6 carbides. After long-term aging at 700~900ºC. MC does not change much, and M23C6 is distributed in the grain boundary in a chain shape. With the increase of aging time, the amount of precipitation increases and the particles grow; at the same time, there is WCr solid solution in the grain and grain boundary to supplement the precipitation, which is granular and increases with aging time. Prolonged, the number gradually increased, and the size continued to grow.
Relevant technical standards stipulate that the grain size of the cold-rolled sheet in the supply state should be in the range of 4 to 8 grades.
4GH44 Process performance and requirements
4.1 Formability of GH44
4.1.1 The heating temperature of GH44 ingot forging shall be 1170ºC±10ºC, and the terminal temperature shall not be lower than 900ºC. The heating temperature of slab rolling is 1190±10ºC, the heating temperature of sheet hot rolling is 1130ºC±10ºC, and the final rolling temperature is not lower than 800ºC; the total reduction rate of sheet cold rolling is about 30%.
4.12 GH44 sheet has good stamping process performance. The limit deep drawing coefficient of the cold rolled sheet supply state is K limit = 2.06.
4.2 Heat treatment process of GH44 parts
The intermediate heat treatment temperature is 1140°C ± 10°C, heat preservation for 3~5min, and air cooling. The final heat treatment temperature is determined according to the working conditions of the parts. For parts that require good thermal fatigue properties, solid solution at 1150 °C, heat preservation for 3~5min, and air cooling; Air-cooled.
