Product Description

GH4648/GH648 superalloy

GH4648 superalloy is a Ni-Cr-based precipitation hardening deformed superalloy. The long-term service temperature is less than 900 °C, and the short-term service temperature can reach 1100 °C. The alloy is characterized by the addition of about ω(Cr) 32%, making it excellent in hot corrosion resistance. At the same time, the alloy has moderate strength and good fatigue and creep properties, good cold workability and weldability. It is suitable for making high temperature structural parts with a temperature of 900ºC~1100ºC and requiring excellent corrosion resistance. The main varieties supplied are plates, strips, pipes, bars, forgings and rings.

GH4648 superalloy is used to make advanced aero-engine combustion chamber components and other hot-end components, and it is in good batch production and use. Similar grades have been widely used in foreign aero-engines.

The comprehensive performance of GH4648 superalloy is better than the domestic performance level of GH3044 and GH3128. Since GH4648 has a smaller specific gravity than GH3044, this alloy has a higher specific strength.

Heat treatment system

From HB/Z 140, Liaoxin 7-0085, Liaoxin 7-0068, Liaoxin 7-0079, Liaoxin 7-0084 and Q/GYB 05061, the various standard heat treatment regimes are:

A Forged and rolled bar, 1150ºC±20ºC×1h/AC+900ºC±20ºC×16h/AC;

B Plate and strip, 1140ºC±10ºC/AC+900ºC±20ºC×6h/AC, in which the solution holding time is (1~2)min/mm;

C Cake, ring, 1140ºC±20ºC×1h/AC+900ºC±20ºC×16h/AC.
