GH26 high temperature corrosion resistant alloy

GH26 is a fe-ni-co-cr-based precipitation hardening deformed superalloy. The long-term use temperature range is 540ºC-570ºC, and the maximum service temperature can reach 677ºC. The alloy is solid solution strengthened by adding chromium and molybdenum elements. The low aluminum element forms the γ' aging strengthening phase, and the cobalt element reduces the solubility of titanium and aluminum in the solid solution, which promotes the increase of the precipitation of the γ' phase, thereby improving the thermal stability of the γ' and reducing the stacking fault of the γ' phase. can. The alloy has excellent comprehensive properties, excellent stress relaxation resistance and creep resistance, and no notch sensitivity. It is suitable for making bolts, seal springs, sealing rings, pins and other parts. The main products are hot-rolled bars, forged bars, hot-rolled sheets and cold-rolled sheets. 

Application overview and features

The alloy has been used to make fasteners for ground steam turbines. It can work for more than 100,000 hours under the condition of 540ºC-570ºC steam and is in good condition. Similar alloys are used abroad to make fasteners and blades for aviation turbine engines. 

The alloy has good plasticity at moderate temperatures and will reduce part fracture due to persistence and creep in long-term use. No harmful phase of tcp was found in the alloy after long-term aging or long-term stress aging in the service temperature range.

Forming process and performance

The heating temperature of the alloy ingot is 1140ºC, the heat preservation is 3h, the forging temperature is 1050ºC, and the stop forging temperature is not less than 950ºC; the heating temperature of the square billet is 1130ºC, the heat preservation is 2h, the forging temperature is 1050ºC, and the final forging temperature is not less than 900ºC. .
