Inconel601 alloy is a nickel-chromium-iron-based solid solution strengthened alloy, which has good high temperature corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, excellent cold and hot processing and welding performance, and has satisfactory thermal strength and high plasticity below 700 ºC.
The alloy can be strengthened by cold working, and it can also be joined by resistance welding, solution welding or brazing, suitable for the production of anti-oxidation parts that can withstand low loads below 1100 °C.

Properties of Inconel 601 Alloy:
1. Excellent oxidation resistance at high temperature
2. Good carbonization resistance
3. Good oxidation resistance in sulfur-containing atmosphere
4. Good mechanical properties at both room temperature and high temperature
5. Good resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Due to the control of carbon content and grain size, 601 has high creep rupture strength, so 601 is recommended in the field above 500 °C.
Inconel 601 Alloy Corrosion Resistance:
An important property of alloy 601 is its resistance to oxidation at temperatures up to 1180°C. Even under severe conditions, such as during heating and cooling cycles, 601 produces a dense oxide film for high spalling resistance. 601 has very good carbonization resistance. Due to its high chromium and aluminum content, 601 has good oxidation resistance in high temperature sulfur-containing atmospheres.
