Product Description

GH4220 is a Ni-Co-Cr-based precipitation hardening deformed superalloy. The operating temperature is 900ºC~950ºC. More aluminum and titanium elements are added to the alloy to form a γ' precipitation strengthening phase, and the ω (γ') can reach more than 40%. . At the same time, cobalt, chromium, tungsten and molybdenum elements are added for solid solution strengthening, and trace amounts of cerium, boron and magnesium are added for grain boundary strengthening. The alloy has high high temperature strength and high temperature plasticity, and has good comprehensive properties. It is suitable for manufacturing gas turbine working blades whose working temperature is 900ºC~950ºC. The main products are hot-rolled bars for rotating parts, die-forged turbine blades, etc.

The alloy has been used to make Class I turbine blades for aero-engines. Batch and use in good condition.

The alloy passes through the crystal bending heat treatment process to control the precipitation type and shape of the di phase on the grain boundary, so as to form a curved grain boundary. The grain boundary and the intragranular strength are well matched, and the brittleness of the grain boundary is reduced, thereby improving the high temperature plasticity and lasting strength of the alloy.

GH4220 Heat Treatment System
1220ºC±10ºC, 4h, air cooling+1050ºC±10ºC, 4h, air cooling+950ºC±10ºC, 2h, air cooling.

GH4220 Melting and Casting Process
The alloy is smelted by vacuum induction plus vacuum arc remelting process or vacuum induction plus electroslag remelting process.

GH4220 thermal processing technology
The steel ingot is directly rolled into bar by wrapping, the heating temperature is 1160-1180ºC, the final rolling temperature of the last fire is greater than 1020ºC, the last rolling pass is controlled at 2-4, and the blade die forging heating temperature is controlled at 1120 -1140ºC, the die forging process should be completed within 10s. The amount of deformation per fire is preferably 30%-40%. When the die forging blank is heated and heat treated in an air furnace, the machining allowance shall not be less than 1.5mm on each side.
