Product Description

Incoloy 800 is an alloy that typically contains 15-25% Cr, 30-45% nickel, and small amounts of aluminum and titanium.

Foreign name: incoloy800
USA: No8800
China: 0Cr20Ni32AlTi
Japan: NCF800

Product introduction

Alloy 800 typically has 15-25% Cr, 30-45% Ni, and small amounts of aluminum and titanium.

The 800 alloy is in the austenite single-item region after rapid cooling from high temperature, so the use state is a single austenite structure.

The alloy has high chromium content and sufficient nickel content, so it has high high temperature corrosion resistance and is widely used in industry.

In chloride, low-concentration NaOH aqueous solution and high temperature and high pressure water, it has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, so it is used to manufacture equipment that is resistant to stress corrosion cracking

Corrosion resistance
The corrosion resistance is better than that of general austenitic stainless steel, and also better than that of Incoloy 600 alloy;
It is superior to Incolo 600 and Monel 400 alloys in the manufacture of corrosion stress cracking equipment.

Processing

Thermal processing

1. The temperature range is 1200ºC~950ºC, and the cooling method is water quenching or rapid air cooling.
2. In order to obtain the best performance and creep resistance, solution treatment should be carried out after hot working.
3. The material can be directly sent into the furnace that has been heated up to 1200ºC, and it can be released quickly after being kept for a sufficient time, and then hot processed in the specified temperature range. When the material temperature drops below the thermal processing temperature, reheating is required.

Cold working
1. The work hardening rate is greater than that of austenitic stainless steel, so it is necessary to select the processing equipment. Cold-worked materials should be in solution heat-treated state, and intermediate annealing should be performed when the amount of cold work is large.
2. If the amount of cold working is greater than 10%, the workpiece needs to be subjected to secondary solution treatment.

Welding process
Suitable for welding with the same material or other metals by any conventional welding process, such as tungsten electrode inert gas welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub-arc welding, metal inert gas welding, molten inert gas welding, among which pulse arc welding is the preferred option. If manual arc welding is used, it is recommended to use (Ar+He+H2+CO2) as the shielding gas.
