GH1140 is a solid-solution-strengthened iron-nickel-based superalloy. In addition to containing a large amount of chromium, a small amount of tungsten, molybdenum, aluminum and titanium are used to strengthen the solid solution. The alloy has moderate thermal strength, high plasticity, good thermal fatigue, microstructure stability and welding process performance. It is suitable for manufacturing plate structures and other high-temperature components of aero-engine and gas-turbine combustion chambers with a working temperature below 850°C. Various deformed products such as plates, rods, tubes, wires, strips and forgings can be supplied.

Note: ω(Al+Ti) is not more than 1.55% when smelting with electric arc furnace, and ω(Al+Ti) is not more than 1.75% when using electric arc furnace + electroslag smelting.
Heat treatment system
Solution treatment: 1050~1090ºC for hot rolled sheet, cold rolled sheet and strip, air cooling; 1050~1080ºC for wire and pipe, air or water cooling; 1080ºC±10ºC for bar and ring blank, air cooling.
Variety Specifications and Supply Status
Hot-rolled sheets, cold-rolled sheets, strips, bars, wires, tubes, forgings and rings can be supplied in various specifications. Plates, tubes, wires and strips are supplied after solution treatment and pickling. Bars and rings are supplied in hot rolled or forged condition. Forgings are supplied in the forged condition or after solution treatment.
Melting and casting process
Electric arc furnace melting or electric arc furnace + electroslag remelting.
Application overview and special requirements
It has been used in the manufacture of combustion chamber flame tubes, afterburner diffusers, fairing struts, stabilizers, oil transfer rings, afterburner adjustable nozzle casings, pipe joints, bushings and aircraft tail cover skins for a variety of aero-engines And other parts, put into mass production use. After long-term use in the temperature range of 550 ~ 800 ºC, there will be a slight hardening phenomenon, which will reduce the plasticity at room temperature. The high temperature oxidation resistance above 1000 ºC is slightly worse than that of nickel-based alloys for similar purposes.
