Product Description

Hastelloy c2000 is a new type of NI-CR-MO alloy. Based on Hastelloy C4 alloy, the content of chromium has been increased, and copper has been added, which greatly improves the oxidation resistance of the alloy and the corrosion ability of reducing media. Alloys with better resistance to sulfuric acid corrosion, but not as resistant to intergranular corrosion as Hastelloy C4. Therefore, this alloy material is used in a sulfuric acid environment.

Hastelloy C-2000 alloy is an alloy material developed by Hastelloy International in the United States in the 1990s. It has excellent corrosion resistance in both oxygen and reducing environments. He is a relatively good Ni-Cr-Mo alloy on the market, and can be used in various harsh corrosive environments such as dilute sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid. The chemical corrosion protection industry is paying more and more attention to its application. Hastelloy C2000 This alloy is designed to resist more aggressive chemicals including sulfuric, hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids. Unlike previously optimized Ni-Cr-Mo alloys that are only resistant to oxidizing or reducing acids alone, the C-2000 alloy is corrosion resistant to both environments. The combined action of molybdenum and copper (16% and 1.6%, respectively) gives the alloy excellent resistance to reducing media corrosion, while the high chromium content (23%wt) ensures resistance to oxidative media corrosion. Its enhanced corrosion resistance enables longer service life under the same material thickness and higher safety factor under harsher conditions.

Hastelloy C-2000 heat treatment processing:

1. Ni-Cr-Mo alloy should not be subjected to post-weld stress relief treatment at around 650 °C. Generally, no heat treatment is required after welding, but if stress is to be relieved, it is recommended to perform complete solution annealing at 1149°C and then water quenching.

2. The hot working temperature range of the alloy is 1080ºC~900ºC, and the cooling method is water cooling or other rapid cooling methods. In order to ensure better anti-corrosion performance, solution heat treatment should be carried out after heat treatment. Application of Hastelloy C-2000: The improvement of corrosion resistance in all aspects of the alloy makes the equipment multi-purpose (reactor, heat exchanger, valve, pump, etc.) such as: the reactor can adapt to the hydrochloric acid mixture, and then convert it into a nitric acid-based mixture another working condition.
