GH984 is a Fe-Ni-Cr-based precipitation hardening deformed superalloy.
The working temperature is 700ºC~750ºC.
The alloy is solid solution strengthened with elements such as chromium, molybdenum and niobium, and a small amount of aluminum and titanium form a precipitation strengthening phase.
The alloy has good performance.
Long-term lasting strength, anti-oxidation and corrosion resistance, good cold and hot processing properties, good microstructure stability and weldability.
The main products are bars, tubes, plates, strips and rings.
The alloy has been used to make superheater pipes for marine and supercritical boilers, working at 700 ° C ~ 75 ° C.
After ten years of use in marine boilers, the effect is good, and it has been put into batch use.
Compared with nickel-based alloys of the same purpose, the alloy can save ω(Ni) by 32% to 34%, and does not contain cobalt, so the cost is low.
After the alloy is aged for a long time, a small amount of granular σ is precipitated, which has no effect on the performance.
The alloy does not appear intergranular corrosion in various heat treatment states and welding.

Heat treatment system
System A: 1100ºC±10ºC for 1 hour, air cooling.
System B: : 1100ºC±10ºC for 1 hour, air cooling + 750ºC±10ºC for 8 hours, air cooling.
System c: 1100°C±10°C for 1 hour, air cooling + 750°C±10°C for 8 hours, cooling at 50°C per hour to 650°C±10°C for 16 hours, air cooling
