Haynes 214 is a solid-state superalloy that is composed of elements such as nickel, chromium, aluminum, and iron in a special form and is known for its outstanding oxidation resistance. The specific effects of each chemical composition on the properties of the alloy are as follows:
(1). The base material nickel and chromium combine to resist oxidation and reduction environment;
(2). The aluminum content is relatively high, which improves the anti-oxidation ability of the material under high temperature environment;
(3). Does not contain cobalt and molybdenum elements, so the strength is relatively low under high temperature conditions.
For the high-temperature oxidative service environment where the "near space hypersonic vehicle" is located, the material has high resistance to
The importance of thermal oxidation ability is much higher than the requirements for high temperature strength properties.
Haynes 214 is used for the skin and interlayer of honeycomb structures.
The Haynes 214 alloy used in the honeycomb skin is prepared by the EB-SPR method and coated with a ZrO ceramic layer on the surface.
This alloy is developed and produced by Hastelloy Nickel-Based Alloy Company in the United States.
It has excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and is especially suitable for low-stress and high-temperature environments.
Therefore, it is widely used in honeycomb structural components.
Haynes 214 is a second-phase reinforced nickel-based alloy with good formability and weldability.

illustrate
Haynes Alloy 214 (UNS N07214) is a nickel-chromium-aluminum-iron alloy with excellent high temperature corrosion and oxidation resistance at 955°C (1750°F) and above. H214 is best suited for high temperature, low stress environments.
Haynes Alloy 214 (UNS N07214) is sold in the solution heat treated condition. At temperatures above 1750°F, an Al 2 O 3-type scale forms, providing excellent resistance to carburization, nitriding, and corrosion in chlorine-containing oxidizing environments.
Industries offered by Haynes Alloy 214 (UNS N07214): Aerospace, Automotive, Industrial Heating, Medical Waste Treatment and Land-Based Gas Turbines.
