GH696 overview:

GH696 is a deformed superalloy with molybdenum and niobium as the main strengthening element. The long-term service temperature is below 650 °C, and the short-term service temperature can reach 750 °C. The alloy has high yield strength, durability and creep strength, as well as good high temperature elastic properties, gas corrosion resistance and processing plasticity. It is suitable for manufacturing turbine and compressor fasteners, disk parts, and working blades, turbine casings, annular parts (including connecting rings) that work for a long time below 650 °C, and round-shaped spirals that work at 400 °C-650 °C spring etc.

Similar alloys are widely used abroad to make various high-temperature parts of aero-engines, and have long-term and reliable use experience. my country uses this alloy to make various parts such as quick-release rings, fasteners, springs, pipe joints, mounting seats and brackets on various engines, and has passed the use assessment and has been mass-produced and used.

GH696 heat treatment method:

Hot rolled bars and forged bars: 1100ºC for 1-2h, water cooling +780ºC for 16h, furnace cooling to 650ºC for 16h, air cooling.

Cold rolled strip: 950ºC-1050ºC, air cooling +700ºC heat preservation for 3-5h, furnace cooling to 650ºC, air cooling.

GH696 chemical properties:

Oxidation resistance: The alloy has satisfactory oxidation resistance and gas corrosion resistance below 700 °C.

Corrosion resistance: The alloy has satisfactory hot corrosion resistance under all weather conditions.
