Inconel617 heat treatment method
In order to obtain suitable properties, the solution treatment temperature is 1150ºC-1200ºC, and it must be water quenched to obtain creep resistance, and those with a thickness of less than 1.5mm can also be rapidly air-cooled.
The stress relief annealing temperature is up to 870°C.
During all heat treatments, the previously mentioned precautions for keeping clean should be taken into account.
