Product Description

GH3536 alloy is a nickel-based superalloy with high iron content mainly solid solution strengthened with chromium and molybdenum.

Metallographic structure of GH3536:
The structure of the aluminum alloy in the heat treatment and tempering state is a martensitic base material, and there are also a little TiN and M6C cementite.

Characteristic
It has good anti-oxidation and corrosion resistance, moderate to long-lasting and creep strength below 900ºC, good cold and hot formability and weldability. It is suitable for the manufacture of combustion chamber parts and other high-temperature parts of aero-engines, long-term use below 900 ºC, and short-term working temperature reaches 1080 ºC. Alloys that can withstand certain stress and have anti-oxidation or anti-corrosion capabilities at high temperatures of 600-1200 °C. According to the matrix elements, it can be mainly divided into iron-based superalloys, nickel-based superalloys and cobalt-based superalloys. According to the preparation process, it can be divided into deformed superalloy, cast superalloy and powder metallurgy superalloy. According to the strengthening methods, there are solid solution strengthening type, precipitation strengthening type, oxide dispersion strengthening type and fiber strengthening type (see metal strengthening). Superalloys are mainly used in the manufacture of high-temperature components such as turbine blades, guide vanes, turbine disks, high-pressure compressor disks and combustion chambers of aviation, naval and industrial gas turbines (Figure 1); they are also used in the manufacture of aerospace vehicles, rocket engines, nuclear reactors, Energy conversion devices such as petrochemical equipment and coal conversion.

Process performance
1. The temperature range of solution treatment is 1160ºC~1190ºC, preferably around 1175ºC.
In order to obtain the maximum creep strength, the recommended cooling method is water quenching. For materials with thickness less than 1.5mm, rapid air cooling can also be used. The stress relief annealing temperature is up to 870°C. During heat treatment, the workpiece must be kept clean.

2. The descaling surface oxide and welding slag around the weld have stronger adhesion than stainless steel. It is recommended to use a fine-grained abrasive belt or a fine-grained grinding wheel for grinding.

3 Before pickling with HNO3/HF mixed acid, the oxide film must be broken by sandblasting or grinding.

4. Machining Machining should be carried out in solution treatment state. Because of the high work hardening of Nicrofer 4722 Co, it is advisable to machine at low cutting speeds and heavy feeds in order to turn under the cold work hardened surface.

5. Welding It can be welded by various welding processes, such as tungsten electrode inert gas shielded welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub-arc welding, metal extremely inert gas shielded welding, and molten extremely inert gas shielded welding. Pulse arc welding is preferred. Before welding, the material needs to be in solution treatment state to remove oxide scale, oil stains and various marking marks, and the width of about 25mm on both sides of the welding seam needs to be polished to a bright metal surface. With low heat input, the interlayer temperature does not exceed 100°C.

6. No need for pre-weld and post-weld heat treatment
