GH4163

GH4163 alloy characteristics:

GH4163 is a Ni-C-Co-based precipitation hardening deformed superalloy. The operating temperature can reach 850. The alloy has good oxidation resistance below 800 °C, high yield strength and creep strength, and strain aging crack tendency. Small, good resistance to cold and heat fatigue. The alloy has satisfactory formability and weldability. It is suitable for making the main combustion chamber of aero-engine and the plate welded structural parts and load-bearing parts added as the combustion chamber.

The main products of GH4163 are hot-rolled and cold-rolled sheets, hot-rolled and forged bars, cold-drawn (rolled) seamless pipes and rings.

GH4163 application overview:

GH4163 alloy has been used to make aero-engine flame tube, afterburner, mounting edge, mounting seat and pipe fittings, etc. It is in good batch production and use. GH4163 parts must be welded in solid solution state, and can be welded by spot welding, seam welding and argon arc welding. The alloy has n-phase precipitation during long-term aging at high temperature or long-term stress aging.

Use non-vacuum induction furnace + electroslag remelting, or non-vacuum induction furnace + vacuum consumable, or non-vacuum induction furnace + vacuum arc remelting, or empty induction furnace + electroslag remelting, or vacuum induction furnace + vacuum consumable , or vacuum induction furnace ten vacuum arc remelting smelting process.

GH4163 supply state; plates are supplied after solid solution + alkali pickling + leveling + straightening + trimming; bars are generally not heat treated, but are supplied after polishing or car polishing; pipes are cold rolled or solid solution + Pickling, or supply after bright solution treatment; ring parts are generally supplied without heat treatment, but can also be supplied after solution or ten-aging.

GH4163 Process performance and requirements

Forming process and properties; the heating temperature for ingot forging is 1120°C±10°C, the final forging temperature is not less than 900°C, the heating temperature for slab and hot-rolled sheet rolling is 1130°C±10°C, and the total pressure of cold-rolled sheet is reduced. If the amount is greater than 20%, the intermediate quenching temperature is 1080ºC±10ºC.

Process performance; the limit deep drawing coefficient of the plate supply state is 2.05, and the bending coefficient of the plate supply state of thickness 0.5mm~4.0mm is 3.0.

GH4163 welding performance; the alloy has satisfactory welding performance and can be welded by spot welding, seam welding and argon arc welding. Solution treatment is required before welding, and aging is performed after welding. Generally, no welding is performed after aging. If welding is required, aging treatment is required after welding.

Heat treatment process of parts; the solution treatment temperature of various semi-finished products (plates, rods, strips, etc.) is 1150ºC±10ºC, and the intermediate annealing temperature to eliminate the cold working stress of the parts is 1080ºC±10ºC; the parts are welded in the solution state , 800 ºC ± 10 ºC x8h/AC aging treatment after welding.

Surface treatment process; surface oxide scale after solution treatment and intermediate annealing is chemically eliminated. Assemblies generally do not remove scale after aging. Components must not be chemically descaled after ageing.

Machining and grinding performance: The alloy can be satisfactorily machined.
