Metallographic structure of Incoloy800HT:
800HT is a face-centered cubic lattice constant structure. Very low carbon content and increased Ti:C ratio increase structural stability and highest resistance to sensitization and stress corrosion. Ultra-low temperature quenching within 950°C ensures a fine-grained structure.
Corrosion resistance of Incoloy800HT:
800HT is resistant to many corrosive substances. Its high nickel content makes it very resistant to intergranular corrosion cracking in water-soluble etching standards. The high chromium content makes it more resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. The alloy has very good resistance to sodium cyanide and organic corrosion, but the corrosion resistance in hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid is relatively limited. Good corrosion resistance in reducing and non-oxidizing salts, except for potential pitting corrosion in halogenation. It also has very good corrosion resistance in water, steam and its mixture of vapor, gas and carbon dioxide.
The main uses of Incoloy800HT are:
A. Sodium cyanide cooler - resistant to sodium cyanide corrosion
B. Steam heating tube - very good physical properties
C. Heating component tube - very good physical properties
For use in the natural environment up to 500°C, the alloy is supplied in the quenched state.
