Key features of GH4698:
GH4698 is a Ni-Cr-based precipitation hardening deformed superalloy. The operating temperature is 750ºC~800ºC. The alloy is developed on the basis of GH4033 alloy. Compared with GH4033 alloy, the content of aluminum and titanium is increased, and the Niobium and molybdenum, reducing chromium content. The alloy has high lasting strength and tensile strength in the range of 550 ºC ~ 800 ºC, good plasticity and comprehensive properties, and stable structure for long-term use. It is suitable for making long-life heavy-duty parts such as engine turbine disks and compressor disks. The main products are hot rolled and forged bars, discs and rings. After the alloy is aged at 650ºC~750ºC for 100h~1000h for a long time, the structure and performance are stable, and no harmful phase is precipitated.

GH4698 Melting process
The alloy is smelted by vacuum induction furnace + vacuum arc remelting, or vacuum induction furnace + electroslag remelting.
