Product Description

NS113 is a fully austenitic low-carbon nickel-iron-chromium alloy, and the cobalt content in the alloy can be strictly controlled below 0.01%. Incoloy 800HT is resistant to many corrosive media. Its high nickel content makes it resistant to stress corrosion cracking in aqueous corrosion conditions. The high chromium content provides better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. The alloy has good corrosion resistance to nitric acid and organic acids, but limited corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. Good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts, in addition to the potential for pitting corrosion in halides. It also has good corrosion resistance in water, steam and mixtures of steam, air and carbon dioxide. Used in nitric acid condenser - corrosion resistance of nitric acid, steam heating tube - good mechanical properties, heating element tube - good mechanical properties, etc. For applications up to 500°C, the alloy is supplied in the annealed condition.

NS113 Conditional Stress Values:

High conditional stress values up to 90% of the yield strength can be used in applications that allow a slightly larger amount of deflection. Permanent stresses from these stresses can cause dimensional changes and are not recommended for flange and gasket connections.

NS113 metallographic structure:

NS113 alloy has a stable face-centered cubic structure. Chemical composition and proper heat treatment ensure that corrosion resistance is not impaired by sensitization.

NS113 Corrosion Resistance:

NS113 is a general purpose engineering alloy that is resistant to acid and alkali metal corrosion in both oxidizing and reducing environments.

The high nickel content makes the alloy effective against stress corrosion cracking.

It has good corrosion resistance in various media, such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid and organic acids, and alkali metals such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid solutions.

The higher comprehensive performance of NS113 is shown in the nuclear combustion dissolver with various corrosive media, such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid and sodium hydroxide, which are all processed in the same equipment.

NS113 application range:

NS113 is widely used in various industrial fields where the operating temperature does not exceed 550ºC.

Typical applications are:

Heating pipes, containers, baskets and chains used in sulfuric acid pickling plants.

Seawater cooling heat exchangers, marine product piping systems, sour gas environment piping.

Heat exchangers, evaporators, scrubbers, dip tubes, etc. in phosphoric acid production.
