K424 is a high Ai, Ti, low density nickel-based casting alloy with high high temperature strength, plasticity and good workability. The alloy is usually used in the as-cast state, but in order to reduce the degree of dendrite segregation and improve the overall performance of the alloy, solution treatment can also be used. The saturation of the alloy is high, and when it is used for a long time at around 850 °C, there is a tendency to precipitate α phase. However, it is sensitive to the size of the parts, and the precipitation of σ phase can be reduced and delayed by controlling the alloy composition and smelting process parameters and adopting the thin-wall size. The alloy is suitable for making turbine rotor blades, integrally cast turbines, and bottom plates of engine tail jets that work at 950°C.

Main application: The alloy is used to make components such as aviation and aerospace engine turbine blades, tail nozzle adjustment pieces, integrally cast turbine rotors and guides.
